Why? I seem to be unable to 'get' most of the street shots appearing on LuLa at the moment. This one hints at what really goes on in the mind of a monk in deep meditation.
So what does it suggest to you? How many monks choose to meditate outside a cafe?
I am in no way saying I don't like this image or that it is any way a poor photograph (I simply don't comment on those) I just don't get how it speaks to others.

Thanks for that Ivo. I thought those guys could ride motorcycles anyway?

So you think he might be doubting his calling :)

Fursan obviously is a damn good photographer, but he's never told us how old he is or where he is. I have no idea where he made this picture, but the kid probably is a Buddhist novice. Since I don't know where this is I don't know whether or not what I saw in my two years in Thailand is the same here, but there the kid would have gone through his novice period and probably have become a normal citizen, not a full-time priest. If I'm right, this kid is close enough to the age when he'll shuck the robes and hop on a motorcycle, maybe with a girl behind him. In the meantime, with any luck at all he'll have learned a kind of morality that's becoming too rare in this world.
Facinating. Thank you for sharing all that Fursan. You are a fine photographer in my opinion and an obviously interesting personI'll add my thanks, too. I'm in complete agreement.
