Bucharest,just now
-
Rain for the first day of summer, you must be kidding! ;)
-
Not at all, that was,I'm sorry, I did not disappoint You
-
Here, for once, we got a sunny day and this is an exception as I fell like we always have rain for the first few days of summer... It might be my memory, though. ;)
-
Now,it is raining again so I do not know where I am, în Denmark or în Holand, not in Bucharest.....
-
Today,in Bucharest
-
Just now,in Bucharest,it is not raining everywhere!
-
As You can see,in this afternoon,in Bucharest, the rain does not go beyond the skin
-
In Bucharest,as in all cities, the church is surrounded by the town.(today at 10.54,local hour)
-
Bucharest seems to get more than their fair share of rain! Nice photos, thanks.

Morning shower in Bucharest
-
Please,do not be stressed ,in Bucharest, just now, does not rain with gold.
-
I like your rain photo and I'm envious - we haven't had rain in months.

You are not accustomed to such warm days, just we do to rainy days.

4 or 5 years ago, în Alsace ,I suffered harder heat than în Bucharest.I did not understand why was this feeling. The same temperature but not the same senzation! Thank You.

Few days before, having only my mobile phone,in a moment without rain.

Looks like rain is back!

Looks like rain is back!
Few days before I took this image,I just finished to read about Gustav Klimt who died in 1918.That seems me quite interesting.
Indeed the rain is back.
-
So I took an open bus. Watching the back seems to be a necessity not only in the bus.....
-
The Arch of Trimph, like in every European capital, probably.
-
Here,in this building, like Lomonosov University of Moscow, were newspapers and magazines printed in communism.
-
If the previous building was made to show the friendship between Romania and its big brother,Russia, these twin skyscrapers, which are in the vicinity, whose friendship try to call? The background tried to prove that was a time of originality...maybe.
-
Not all are in open bus some choose to go on absurd crosswalks
-
maybe because of air flow.
-
Romanian Parliament. The construction meant a great tragedy for thousends of families who had to leave their
houses.
-
Same city but another part of it.
-
During the bus running appear other flowers,by stone now. Cretsulescu church was built at the beginning of 18th century. This man was a kind of chancellor and was married with a daughter of Constantin Brancoveanu- Prince of Wallachia who was beheaded by Ottomans in 1714 with his four sons.
-
Opposite the church is the palace of the former central commitee of the Communist party, now Ministry of Interior(its construction began in 1939 and was finished in 1950) In front of it is the monument of the anticommunist fighters. Here in this square, named now Revolution Sq. the fall of Ceausescu began, in December 21st 1989.
-
To the left of the church below is the royal palace. The old, damaged after a fire, was demolished and rebuilt in 1937.Now it is museum.
-
Opposite the royal palace is University Foundation Carol I,built in 1893.
-
In 1990,king Mihai I thinking that the communism was out from his country, tried to come to collect His thoughts at the ancestors' tombs at Curtea de Arges monastery. But,He was not allowed to get off the plane. In 1992, after an exile of 45 years, He came in Bucharest and lived at this hotel.(Current building is from 1866.)
-
Near this hotel,in1934,was built the ugliest but the tallest house(52 m) in Bucharest for many years.
-
I said ugliest comparing it with CEC Bank palace built in 1900.
-
or with Cantacuzino palace built in 1902,now George Enescu museum.
-
This street, named Calea Victoriei(Victory Way) is not crowded only with architecture monuments and statues like this of king Carol I in front of his foundation,
-
it is also a way of the perdition and pleasure.
-
Opposite the casino, this church, rebuilt after the earthquake from 1838,tries to wash away the sins of the gamblers helping them to gain.
-
Between Parliament and
-
so called Union Square is a street full of fountains.
-
At first they are quite simple
-
then more complex
