One of my clients hasn't been happy with the calibration of her iMac G5. Should the gamma be calibrated at 1.8 or 2.2 ??? 6500k was the plan. I seem to find conflicting info online in the Apple Discussion forums. Some say it used to be 1.8 but now we should be using 2.2
Thanks in advance.

2.2 is MUCH closer to the native TRC of a display. If she's using ICC savvy software (Photoshop), far better to stick to 2.2 or as close to the native gamma of the device as possible. I's been discussed here in the past (do a search) if you want to know all the gory details of why.

I really never understood Apple's obsession with 18gamma when the rest of the world sits closer to 2.2 I've always used 2.2.
