Title: Sony a7r3 and Metabones using Contax lens.
Post by: andyptak on June 07, 2018, 02:12:46 pm
I just bought a Contax 28-85 and am using a plain Metabones - not Speedbooster adaptor - and I'm getting ridiculously low readings at ISO 200. Using f8 or f11 outside on a bright day I'm getting about 1/30 sec on aperture priority.

Do I loose a couple of stops with the adaptor?

Hmmm…the adapter is just a tube. No light loss. What do the exposures look like histogram-wise? Post a sample or two if you can. Also make sure the adapter isn't forcing the lens to stop down all the way.

Don't I feel dumb. I discovered that I had accidentally set exposure compensation to +2. Answers why I thought I had lost two stops.
