Title: Edited Photos in PS Not Automatically imported into LR
Post by: pflower on May 13, 2018, 03:15:08 pm
This is really annoying.  I am running LR Classic CC 7.2 on an iMac on OSX 10.11.

If I am in LR, and in a keyword selection of images, and then I make a virtual copy of a photo in LR and then choose Edit In ... PS (which I have set up as an external editor) and then save the resulting work, it is not visible in LR.  7 or 8 times out of 10 the edited photo is not visible in the keyword selection.  The original image is marked 1 of 2 but 2 (edited image from the virtual copy is not visible).  If I then go to the folder that contains the image(s) in the library the edited image is present, visible and has the correct keyword.  Go back to the keyword selection and it is still not there.  Restart LR and there it is where it should be.

Is this a known bug or is there something I could do to avoid this?

Thanks

So, if I have this correct:

1. Assign a keyword to an image.
2. Create a virtual copy.
3. Filter for the keyword (both images appear)
4. Select the virtual copy.
5. Edit in Photoshop - Quit Photoshop save
6. Edited version of virtual copy does not appear in filter list.
7. Go to folder where original resides, Original and the virtual copy edit are present and the virtual copy has the keyword.
8. Return to filter from step 3 - virtual copy edit still not present.
9. Restart Lightroom and return to step 8 and virtual copy edit is now present?

If instead of going from 7 to 8, you went to a different, unrelated filter and then went to step 8, is it there now?
