Title: yellow quit printing. time for a new print head canon 8300?
Post by: msongs on May 06, 2018, 09:54:53 pm
Aloha, my yellow has quit printing right in the middle of jobs. if I do head cleaning A it works again for a short while but always bails out on me. Nozzle check done from control panel shows no yellow nozzles printing at all. print head is about 2 yrs old. I do a low amount of printing maybe a few canvas prints every week on average. I suppose it could be the yellow ink cart. thoughts?

PS - I am not getting any error messages of any kind (except after a head cleaning there is a hardware error so I have to reboot the printer...it has always done this)

It would be best to contact Canon and see if they can pin point the issue.  If it doesn't need a new head, this may save you money on a replacement (or they may help you with a new one).

Call them and see what it may be: 800-423-2366
