New to me too, Rob. He does some good work but then gets carried away trying to make something "original," and blows it. Nowadays nothing in photography is "original." After HCB, Robert Frank, Garry Winogrand, Ansel, Weston, and all their contemporaries it's all been done at least once. But you still can do something that grabs the viewer and gives him a shake.

That, of course, is at once both the despair and the challenge of and for current photographers. At best, I think we can strive to be somewhere in the better half of our competition, which again, can't really be measured, and even financial return is no longer a true measure of worth - if ever it really was.
It comes back down to the advice: do it for yourself!
