Title: Big Push on Photoshop Development?
Post by: Chris Kern on March 07, 2018, 08:59:07 pm
I don't know the traditional size of the Photoshop development staff, but this strikes me as quite a large number of positions (http://jnack.com/blog/2018/03/07/engineers-testers-come-work-on-photoshop/) to be recruiting at one time.

When you look at the job descriptions it seems heavily oriented toward quality control - a very good thing.

The quality openings seem to be mostly iOS or Android positions.

Someone who is not yet using Lightroom, I am glad they continue putting resources on Photoshop.  Means it is not going to wither on the vine.

unless this is a fake recruiting effort to sponsor their existing H-1Bs/L-1s for EBGC... you need to do this for DOL  ;D... (first stage of EBGC is Labor Certification)... or may be in this job market simply enough people left for better pay

Photographers are not the largest share of Photoshop users.

Indeed...probably graphic designers.

Seems like most positions are not for photoshop, but for Android and OIS development. Looks more like Lightroom CC than anything else.
