It will be interesting to see what lenses it takes..
i.e. new lenses built for it?...just sinar zeiss or also rollei zeiss..both af and older manual focus lenses.
Also will it take film backs..I would hope it is not just for digital backs.
Looks like an alternative the the H system but giving 66 option also.

someone can check price tag at sinar/photokina please

Hi
I heard a lot of rumours about this camera. Is this a LEGO camera!!!! Are there F stops on the lenses? Now if the back rotates that would be cool. Price wise will this be similar to the Blad (Fugi)????

To get anyone to swap from an H they will need to have sorted all of the H1s 'issues'
Being IMO..
Horrible to use upright
Single point AF
Ultrawide/Rise/Fall/ts
-----------------
Judging by Sinars last offering, the M, where Sinar said
"Our vision was to develop a system that provides the photographer with maximum flexibility"
And the camera only had 60th flash synch Sinar seem pretty out of step with many photographers, me at least.
Not too hopeful that this wont have a critical flaw somewhere deep in the spec sheet and doubtless "car pricing"

All these camaras are is a way of holding the lense in the right place reference the chip
It will be really interesting when someone throws out the rule book and releases a camera based on huge electronic interaction to the chip..
This camerawill be shutter and mirrorless
It will have an incredible viewing sreen easily and wirless ly conttecting to a laptop or desktop
Auto focus will have not one point, not nine points, but a clickable point, with modes like 'face tracking'
The mirrorless deisign will simplify wide lense construction I will also cut out 'slap'
It will have micro motors driving rise, fall swing and focus and also smoothing camera shake in a VR manner
At that point it will have functionality that is better than the '60s technology which currently hasent really had any usefull advances made on it

is it just a prototype on photokina or is the system ready to ship?
and please could someone @photokina check the price for this beauty?

i wonder if this is the new rollei...since it says this camera was produced with franke&heidecke (rollei)...
obviously the backs have to rotate (it is still a 6x6) but i am not sure which lens they are showing on it? does not look like the rollei lenses, does not look like the M series sinar lenses....
the grip seems to have taken the best of rollei and the worst of the H1...what about those horrible Star Wars looking controls!!??
anyway with the latest news of sinar now being controlled by leica this does not look good to me...jenoptic is a very large company with a lot of financial resources...leica is turning more and more into an very expensive hobby at best...
