A fine shot, Jeremy, that caught the snow blowing off the hills.

I love the lighting on the mountains.

+1.
Where is it? Not Iceland, I think, and not yet Antarctica. Closer to home?

Love the colors, Jeremy. Would love to see also a shot with a longer lens, compressing the distance somewhat and isolating the mountain a bit more, but sometimes we get those and sometimes we doesn't ;)

Yes, I'm curious too... Feels like land of the winter sun but scapes of Northern coastal Ireland above the ferry crossing... Curious mind wishes to know...(I am going to attempt to never again "...", as the echo in my cranial space is voicing "dot dot dot".)
Please tell us more.

Thanks, all. It was taken at Mellon Udrigle, a tiny hamlet in the far northwest of Scotland, just south of Ullapool. Friends have a cottage there. We saw in the New Year on the beach, with large drinks in our hands. It's very picturesque.
I don't know what this mountain is called. Further to the right is An Teallach.
This (http://forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=122536.0) was taken from the same place.

Careful and painstaking research* has revealed that the peak is called Beinn Ghobhlach. I haven't the foggiest idea how to pronounce it, mind you.

There's an option to hear the pronunciation. Good luck with it :-)

Yeah, I can’t do it but English is not my native language either, not that Scottish entirely qualifies as English >:(
