Hi all, my first post here. I decided to take the plunge into printing (I decided photography by itself was not an expensive enough hobby - lol). I ordered the Epson P800 and it’s on it’s way here (so excited!) I have a question about AdobeRGB I’m hoping you can help clarify.
I have a nice, calibrated, monitor (NEC PA322UHD) that came with a colorimeter. I have the monitor set to sRGB. I have PS also set to sRGB working space, even though the files themselves are typically ProPhotoRGB (RAW files coming from LR). I didn’t do much printing before and just shared online, so these settings seemed appropriate.
Now that I’ll be printing, I’m wondering if I should change my color space settings. Is that a necessary step for getting color matched output?
And if I do, where are all the places I should make that change? I can switch my monitor to AdobeRGB. I can switch the PS working space to AdobeRGB. Am I missing anything? Do I need to change something in Windows settings too?
Also, if I switch my monitor to AdobeRGB, does that mean I’m now viewing web content not in the intended working space? (That seems annoying to have to switch back and forth...)
I hope my question makes sense, and thanks in advance for your insights. I’m excited about this new chapter in my hobby. Holler if you’ve got good advice for a newbie like me! :)

Thanks, Mark and Andrew. I checked out the videos you recommended, and they were helpful. I was limiting my display's gamut to sRGB, but decided to open it up to native gamut (closer to AdobeRGB), and I re-calibrated, and that updated my display profile.
I want to spot check something with you: a lot of time was spent on explaining setting the correct working space in PS (and it's a central piece of the Color Management Workflow Chart PDF), but this dialog/setting seems largely irrelevant to photographers. Since a digital camera RAW workflow in PS would almost always start with opening via ACR or LR, the color space you'll be editing in is already set (by ACR/LR, in my case, ProPhotoRGB) and doesn't change when you load it in PS (assuming you haven't changed the default 'preserve embedded profile' setting). My understanding is the Color Settings dialog only applies to new documents created in PS (say, via File->New). Is there something I'm missing?
