One of my goals this year is to finish processing my images from my Japan 2017 trip. So here is the first finished image.

Well done! That's a nice piece of work.

Here is my next Japan Image

Needless to say, these are outstanding. Powerful in their simplicity. The nuance of whites, to greys, to grey-blues is very evocative and creates subtle movement.

Thank you JR - I appreciate the feedback. Fortunately, I go back to Japan in a couple of months.

Nicely done. You have me excited as I am heading off to Japan in a few weeks.
-
The first image was only a 30 second exposure as it was a very calm day. The second image was a 120 second exposure. Here is another completed image.
-
Very nice that first image
-
these are really quite meditative; fits well to the subjects. Love them. And agoin pictures which need to be viewed big, I guess ...
-
I love the first in particular.

Well said. Great compositions and tones.

What would I do with a kazillion dollars? Develop a landscape camera that exclusively shoots 2x1 format.
So I may be slightly biased to the format, but that second image is an utter masterpiece for a lot of other reasons as well.
It's minimal, but with a lot of interest. It's tranquil and evocative. It's nature as a temple of contemplation, it's zen in Japan.
You captured it well.

I don't usually like rusting metal but that first image is tremendous, it exudes calm. The rest are also excellent. Ken

Thanks for the positive comments. I have noticed that my style continues to move to a more minimalist or meditative style. I guess photography has become an escape from my sometimes hectic lifestyle.

For anyone who needs an explanation of what 'Fine Art Photography' is really all about, then they need look no further than this first image, which I think is quite simply stunning and a quintessential representation of this genre of photography.
The rest are also excellent, but that first one really is something special.
Bravo!!!
