Having watched the two latest LuLa videos on Leica, I was faced with a decision: buy an M10 or buy a book. I order the Louis Faurer book since it is by Steidl.

Yep, Peter, let's both weep silently together!

I could print you a red dot for the book?

Alas, Graham, your generous offer has reduced me to but tiny degrees of emotion from tears: I have a box of nevermore-to-be-used sheets of sticky dots in red, blue, yellow and everything else that was used to help grade my trannies from Yes! through Okay, to How Could You Have Done That! Very efficient, rapid system, and based on a criterion of first impressions count. They live beside my remaning boxes of Gepe glassless slide mounts. Goodness, so much dust!

I must remember to play this every morning right after breakfast, but only if I can play Chuck Berry (any CB!) straight after it!

Eternity is Pandora's Box, and like all thoughts on it, best left closed. However, it, the video, is the perfect antidote to those mad, camera-buying emotions - brings a sense of reality and relativity into the situation.

The morning began with perfectly blue sky as far as my bleary vision across the terrace allowed; now, I'm delighted to see many clouds, so I shall rush out to feed Moira - if she's out there - and see what I can find for mistress Nikon to enchant. Perhaps a sequence of Moira chewing a carrot. That would be thrilling.
