Title: Sony 24-105 f/4 review
Post by: luong on December 13, 2017, 02:56:36 pm
It's been a while since I've written a technical lens review, but that's what I just did for the new Sony 24-105 f/4: https://www.terragalleria.com/blog/sony-fe-24-105mm-f4-g-oss-lens-detailed-comparative-review Please let me know if you have any unanswered questions.

Great overview / review!

I've had my copy a bit longer than a week and I concur - this lens is a good fit for a walk-around landscape lens.

Enjoying your new book too :)

Thanks for the lens review. It was one of the pieces of information that pushed me to give the lens a try. And I'm glad I did -- my copy is easily the best zoom lens that I've owned over the decades. I've tried a lot of zooms in the overly-optimistic hope that the image quality would be good enough to support the convenience factor. But, disappointment has usually been the case. The Sony 16-35 f/4 has been a rare exception. This new Sony 24-105 is even more exceptional. My copy is surprisingly good, and hopefully quality-control has improved so that others who try this lens will have a fine copy.

It's good that it can be fixed and it's not a design problem as otherwise people think they are quite sharp.
