Lappland last weekend.
1. A few hundred reindeer at a time are moved into a large circular corral.
2. The owners look for their deer as the herd swirls by.
3. Owners recognize their deer by markings on the ear.
4. Each deer is given an inoculation against botfly and taken into its owner's "office", a smaller corral adjacent to the big central corral. From there they are moved to the winter grazing grounds.

Great stuff, really liked the sensation of cold that seems to be visible in the first three...
-
Amazing, Scott.
Thanks for sharing them.

What a great set!

+1; I especially enjoy the first photo. It conveys the cold and the herd's motion and energy. Nice!
-
A fine set, Scott. Bravo!

Terrific set.
I amazed the Finnish herders don't have serious eye injuries given the antler-tips swinging around their faces!

Really nice work. I'm also a big fan of the first for all that breath vapor illustrating the cold.
I've shot some cattle roundups but never one like this!

Fantastic work… The intensity in some of those shots (#1, #2 and #3) is a key point for me.
Thanks for sharing and enduring the cold.
-
Great work Scott. I like them all but #1 really stands out.

Thanks, folks. Glad you liked them.
It wasn't too cold, -15 C (5 F), and we had heat in the "office".

Superb coverage. I can feel the cold, and I'm Canadian. :)
Thanks again, Scott for sharing that shoot with us.
