Title: Trapped in the roots
Post by: shadowblade on November 29, 2017, 11:43:28 pm
The sandstone head of a Buddha statue lies embedded in a banyan tree, the tree having grown around it over the centuries.

Taken at Wat Mahathat, Ayutthaya, Thailand.

A7r with 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM at 169mm. 1/60, f/8, handheld.

Can't decide between the colour and monochrome versions.

The "colour" version is so close to monochromatic that it looks like a toned b&w. I prefer it.

No real favorite, either is nice but in the end I'd vote for the second one.

Me too, but they are both magnificent.
