Title: phaseOne 190 MP
Post by: alifatemi on November 14, 2017, 11:59:56 pm
It seems that PhaseOne newly has announced 190MP Aerial System. I don't know the dimension of this sensor but if it is the same as its SLR, should we expect them to use this sensor for its MF cameras?

Hi,

It is a dual sensor system with two lenses, alternately triple sensor.

Best regards
Erik

My wife and I recently had lunch with one of the higher ups in Phase One's USA division.  He told me they keep the industrial side of their business separate from the commercial side since many innovations just are not practical for commercial photographers.

He gave a couple examples of innovations (I don't feel comfortable writing what they were) on the industrial end that just are not there yet for the commercial end, either due to speed or weight/size.

It should not be surprising to see different technologies at play in their industrial offerings.
