I wasn't certain where to post this link to Marques Brownlee's video on DxOMark scores (https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=675&v=PgeJ0XYuI2E), which I thought would be of as much interest to other gear aficionados as it was to me. Maybe it belongs in the Mobile Photography thread—ostensibly it's about tests of smartphone cameras—but it seemed to me to have broader applicability. I've always been rather skeptical of attempts to rate complex machinery in a summary fashion, and Brownlee's commentary tends to reinforce my impression.
