Title: Library Metadata Filters: Duplicates of Same Camera Model
Post by: John Caldwell on September 14, 2017, 08:50:12 am
Is there a means of allowing two or more different serial numbers of the same camera model to display as different cameras in the Library Metadata Filer pane? To illustrate, we own two Canon 1Dx Mark II cameras. Files record on the two cameras are represented as being from the same camera "Canon 1Dx II". I'd most like the camera of origin be posted with some distinction between our two units, perhaps listing camera serial number. The same high be asked of same model lenses as well.

Many thanks,

John Caldwell

If I understand what you want, have you noticed that you can filter on serial number too?

Yes, John, thanks. Only now do I see that we have a Serial Number filter column that becomes visible once a Camera model is chosen. Silly that I missed the and I appreciate your help.

Glad it was that that you had overlooked. Sorry if you already know this, John, but when the library filter is open you can click the column label ("Camera" in your case) and change a column to one of a number of others.  On the right hand side of the filter, you can save your selection of columns as a preset too.

Oblivious of this until now John. Always learn from you, man.
