Enchantment in the Subarctic (http://blog.parrikar.com/2017/09/10/enchantment-in-the-subarctic/) - an evening spent near Mývatn, Iceland.

Bravo! The first two shots transform Iceland into a tropical island with that stunning light. The third one is also a beauty.

A poet with a camera !
Thank you Rajan.

Beautiful, luscious light in the first two, and what clouds in the third photo! Congrats Rajan. These are spectacular.

Beautiful.

These are gorgeous, Rajan!
Remembering Myvatn in June, 1974, I had guessed these might be taken during the winter, when the midges aren't as bad. Than I checked your blog.
Does Sandvatn also have midges, and is September late enough for them not to bother too much?

Thank you, gentlemen.
Eric - as I recall, there were no midges at Sandvatn. Typically by late Fall, their numbers decrease significant from the peak in June/July.

Agree with previous posts. Wonderful light!

Oh such dreamy pastel colors! Very nice work. Someday I would like to go to the artic for the purpose of photography.

Walt, John, Hugh - thanks.

Gorgeous stuff, Rajan, but otherworldly.

Gorgeous! I was stationed in Iceland for a few years during the 90s and your photos bring me back to that wonderful time.

Makes me want to be there, excellent :)
