Hi team,
I was wondering whether someone had tried the excellent Nikkor M 450mm f9 with a high res MFDB?
If yes, how well did it perform and on what camera did you mount it?

Funnily enough I have the Nikkor M 105mm lens, from the same series, which is super compact and fast (and rare!) and wondered the same thing.
I was told that these Tessar type designs are not up to it, but would still be interested to hear from someone who's tried them.

I only own the 300 M at the moment but it was probably my sharpest 4x5 lens although it was in the company of the best Rodenstock and Schneider designs, obviously much more ambitious in terms of max aperture.

We did a shot with a 480 Sinaron on an Aptus10 and I seriously was very surprised to see it perform extremely well. We only have a 75SW LF Nikon lens which I always liked better than the "usual bunch". For whatever reason those LF Nikon lenses have never been very popular over here.
