I was going to buy the new 120mm Macro lens for my Fuji GFX 50 when I noticed that they have three or four for sale in the used department of BH Photo.
I am concerned it is something wrong with this lens since so many are already for sale used.
Are there any users in this forum who may have experience with this lens and possible flaws?
Thanks

Give them a call, they might have been demos or there may be other perfectly legit reasons.

I did call BH but they say they do not ask questions from sellers.
I am still worry so I am going to hold that purchase till I get a better idea of what is going on with that lens

Nothing. Amazing lens. One of the best. In addition, the IS is great!
My guess is pretty simple. People are selling the 120 because they got their 110. In the beginning only the 120 was available so everyone bought one. Now for people shooting wide open there is a second option.

Well that tells you that it isn't a demo :)

Love my 120. I canceled the 110.

It's a 1:2 macro lens not a 1:1 macro lens... I don't like 1:2 macro lenses.

True, 1:2, for macro, but it's also an excellent mid telephoto lens, with stabilization, which the 110 doesn't have as I remember.
The 1:2 for me in macro use is not a big distraction due to the focal range.
The close focus distance is a bit of a stretch due to this, but where I use the lens more often in the field is for distance work. Being able to hand hold such a focal length (aided by the OIS) is a huge asset for me.

agreed. Not sure how the math works out, but I think the macro range is quite similar to a 60mm with a 1:1?
Maybe not, but I’ve had no issues getting what I want out of it.

So, I tried the Canon macro 180 L that I already hd with the Cambo adaptor so it is equivaleny of appoximately 120.

Equivalent in what way? Canon equivalent of a Fuji GFX 120 would be a 95mm.
