They normally include handling instructions in a PDF with their icc profile download that explains the settings for a particular printer. Typically one set of instructions for MK and PK (matte and photo black papers). You haven't mentioned your printer, but try for yourself if you can locate it.

Epson R3000

Jesus,what a GD joke
You'd think they would put it somewhere,on the info sheets ,or more closely visable,on the website.
Still cant find it
Guess I'll go back to my Ilford gold fiber silk

I already have the profile-I need the correct MEDIA SETTING

I believe its in the zip file as a pdf file that you download based on your selection of printer, model number and paper group selcting the paper you want. The download section is on the right.

I took a look and it's right where Steve said it was. You didn't say which Fine Art paper you were using but for what it's worth, with Photo Rag and Matte Black in an R3000 they say to use Velvet Fine Art for a media setting.

Thank you,Sir
Paper is Hahnemuhle Fine Art German Etching Textured.
guess I didn't have enough coffee,or maybe too much,

We always used Epson's "Velvet Fine Art" in the past for the heavy HFA papers.
-
John,
Were you able to do a comparison between the Hahnemuhle fine art,& the Velvet Fine Art<if so,what were your findings?
Hahnemuhle, seems to be getting a little pricey
Thanks,
Mike

Epson's VFA was nice paper: High gamut, Dmax and so on. I recall that it's got decent amount of OBA. To be honest, I'm not doing much work on matte papers anymore so I should probably abstain. When I do print on matte, I use Canson BFK Rives and HFA Wm Turner. They are both expensive.

Yes,I use that Canson paper,as well.
