Title: Autumn Light - Edge of the Cambrian Shield Southern Ont.
Post by: Leszek Piotrowski on August 31, 2017, 07:13:24 pm
Spotted this place,... reminded me of the "Group of Seven",.. no where near the magic they put down on paper,... but my capture is what it is!

Oct 2012,  40 mm F/9

Hope to pass by again this year,... perhaps with better light,... better composition.

Thanks for viewing

C/C most welcome.

Very nice early colour, Les. I get a feeling of moodiness, even dark moodiness with this.

Yes Terry,  The mood does seem toned down,...but I fear my P/P might have gone over board,.. especially the sky.  As I recall the scene was light,  lively, vibrant ... but the shadows of the forest interior was a bit mysterious to me at the time. It seems now is passing I wanted the details in the forest floor and rocky slope to surpass the light reflected by the fall forest canopy. Next time I guess.

Thanks for your feedback.

I really like thse type of shots.

They always feel primordial to me. I half expect a dinosaur to lumber thru any minute!!

Framah, thank you kindly.

What the image portrayed, as you described ,... is also in a way what I might have felt,... but perhaps wasn't aware of it at the time. I can say though, the place was (is) kind of special, to me.

Glad you found it interesting. Thanks for your valued comments.
