Title: "frame lines" in A7RII eye finder...?
Post by: fmiller on July 14, 2017, 09:22:33 pm
So... this is kind of weird...

I've been musing over a Leica Q lately, but then considering the cost and the fact that I already DO have this lovely camera...

Anyway, I've always like rangefinders (a Mamiya 7 was my constant companion for a long while...) especially for the ability to see outside of the shooting frame.

So... what I'm wondering is if any of you know a way to customize an A7RII so that the eye level finder has the same sort of crop lines one would find in a Leica. The plan being that I would use my 28 but compose for a 50 or 35. (I know that I'd lose some IQ doing this)

Any thoughts?

Wait. Never mind.

Upon reflection, that's a stupid idea. Forget it.
