A notice for PRO-1000 users. Printer is downloading it now...Not yet on the official Canon support pages so no info yet on what it fixes or what it adds.
-
Yes I don't understand - the printer happily found and downloaded the 2.05 firmware but all the Canon websites seem to have firmware 2.02 as the download, and nothing anywhere about 2.05.

Not a huge surprise. Many times the firmware is released before the 'usual' website might be updated w/ information.
Most of the time, the website has something very useful like 'fixed some issues' :(
-
Note that what is available to download is the *installer* v2.2, which then installs the firmware v2.40... so presumably there will be a v2.3 to install v2.50... or something like that :)

I just called Canon Tech Support and they have no release notes on this at all. Although they said it was a "minor" update. Anybody else have any information?

I check the Canon support pages often to see if there is the v2.3? installer available which I expect to include info about what the 2.050 firmware does or adds. After one and a half month there is still the 2.2 version which installs firmware 2.040. So no info yet :). Meanwhile the printer continue to deliver excellent prints! :-)
