My 7 year old Mac Pro died (power supply) and thus I need to load all my old software on the new Imac. (could not afford the new Mac Pros.)
I got LR to load, but it won't open it just sits there. I have the serial no, and did all the steps in the loading instructions, but no luck.
I rarely use Photoshop, but I have the upgrade disc for PS6, and the Original Disc for PS2, which I think is how I managed to go from2 to 6. 6 wants the code from 2, but when I go through the steps, I get "installation failed" on trying to load 2.
About ready to ditch Adobe. >:(

This really sounds like a job for Adobe support as from what you say it sounds very much like a licensing issue.
I am sure a call to Adobe with your codes handy for LR and PS will get the job done - they may even be able to access your system and activate remotely.
