I'm on my first Squarespace site, so this goes to their users.
I just want the tiny little icons that link to ones social media accounts.
But it seems they want you to "connect", or give over to them the key, followers, friends, ability to post to all your social media to achieve this basic goal. Just an icon that links to a webpage, and they want log in, and friend access.
Am I misinterpreting this? I'm waiting on supervisor. All I have so far is their normal boilerplate language on this. Really bizarre.
HEre is twitter for example
This application will be able to:
Read Tweets from your timeline.
See who you follow, and follow new people.
Update your profile.
Post Tweets for you.
But never authorize these nosy, pricacy violating apps. Wow, I've never seen a template that forces users to use these to just link people to homepages of social media apps.

Yeah, the world we live in. I do not use those, but mostly because I do not use twitter etc much.
I imagine squarespace want to post to twitter and other sites. It would need to be able to read, and post. Not sure about rest of those permissions. I am pretty sure squarespace has just icons with links though. I used it for facebook, but there were others.

Nice, did not understand 2nd half; but why would they need to post, or even me need to access/ post through sqarespace? odd.
