Title: Printing from Illustrator - What am I missing?
Post by: picman on March 17, 2017, 10:17:34 am
Mac - Illustrator CC - Printing to IPF PRO4000.
Pretty sure I'm double profiling.

In the Illustrator print dialog under color management - Color Handling set for Let Illustrator Determine Colors. Postscript printer option is grayed out.
Printer profile is set to my custom profile.

In the print driver under color matching - both ColorSync and Canon Color Matching are options.
(as a side note, exactly what is Canon Color Matching?)
There is no option in any of the dialogs to set color correction to off.

If printing from Photoshop with the same settings ColorSync and Canon Color Matching are grayed out.

Thanks for any insight.

If anyone is interested I think I got it sorted.
Perhaps it is nothing new, but it was a learning experience for me.

In the print driver set Color Matching to Canon Color Matching.
Rendering Intent in Quality & Media can now be set. One of the options is NoColor Correction.
