Title: Canon Program-2000 capping station

With my previous Epson 7900, keeping the capping station moist with say distilled water was a known and effective way to reduce clogging, particularly for those who do not print every day. Is there a similar set up with the Canon prograf-2000 to reduce the print heads from drying out and minimize the need for cleaning cycles?

None that I know of, and you don't need it. The printer has its own internal maintenance procedure programmed to function depending on a number of variables it keeps track of, intervals between usage being one of them.

Thanks for the in put Mark, you are a great resource who obviously spends a lot of time helping others. Beware of the auto correct nannies that change Prograf to Program!

The older ipf Canons had a glycerine reservoir and a little was put on the capping station pads when printing ended each time. Do the newer ones have this?
It appears that they no longer have the straight thru path which we used to print on timber veneers.  We use HP printers these days.
