Title: HP z3200ps & Windows 10
Post by: RedBud on March 06, 2017, 08:02:56 pm
I am new to large format printing and have been reading the talk about the HP z3200ps here.  Aafter readin several of Mark Lindquist's discussions of this printer, I was ready to pull the trigger.  Then I saw some of the issues with Windows 10.  I was hoping that anyone using this printer with Windows 10 could reassure me.

I am using a 64-bit Windows 10 machine and print from Photoshop and QImage.  I understand that the USB connection will not work with Windows 10.  If I set the printer up with an ethernet connection, will everything work as expected?
Appreciate any advice.

I am using it with win 10 and Qimage and ethernet without issie. However if you own the  hp Advanced profiling solution that will not work with W10.

Thanks Barry.  That is reassuring.

One  more question.  You say there are issues with the Advanced Profiling Solution.  Just to be clear,  the built in spectrophotometer will work with Windows 10?

It'll work fine over ether net. Just make sure to install the windows 7 driver. The print quality suffers tremendously with the universal driver. pm me if you need help installing the win7 driver.
