I have just watched the Capture One Update Tutorial. In the background I noticed there were two digital picture frames showing images. Kevin can you comment on the frames you are using and how you arrived at your choice. I have for some time been considering using a DPF to display my work and my latest consideration was the MEURAL picture frames, but I was put off by the frame size and ratio. One other option was to use a digital tv and I recently read that Samsung are working on the concept with their tv's.

I knew these frames would get your attention. I'll have a video and an article on these frames soon. Chris has a long list of editing projects. I am traveling in Norway running a workshop and on my return, I'll get these articles and reviews out. The digital wall frame may finally be here. Bottom line Chris and I are pretty impressed with them and see all sorts of possibilities.

Really looking forward to your informative critique. Safe travels.

Google: Memento Smart Frame

The ones Kevin is using are the larger ones that run around $900:

Actually there are two different ones on the wall behind Kevin, the Memento and the Meural. I am editing that video this week.

I had both and while I really like the Meural, I prefer the high res version of Memento.

These frames are pretty cool and they are both nice but do different things. We have a video and article on these coming soon. It's a cool way to display a wide range of images in a small place. Image quality is pretty good too.

Kevin, do you have an update to the digital picture frame review? How do Memento, Meural, Depict, Samsung compare now?

Memento seems to be out of business or something. The product is listed as discontinued or out of stock everywhere, including their own web site. Calls to the company are not answered. :(

Not surprising given the price tag.

Well, with 48” hi-def TVs going for $200, no wonder.
