I have just published the first four of eleven videos of the Luminous Landscape Capture One 10 tutorial (https://luminous-landscape.com/videos/guide-capture-one-10/)
-
Thanks! Looking forward to viewing them.

Go Drew! :D

Thanks guys. I have started watching and I have seen that the photos hanging on the wall tend to "magically" change between cuts! What was the reason for that? ;D
-
The magic frames are in an upcoming video review which Kevin will publish when I get around to editing it ! ;D

Great news, thanks, Chris. Really looking forward this series.
Something I would like to suggest for this video trainning is how to export a C1 V10 catalog along with it's attendant image files to another location. My first attempt at this resulted in only exporting the Catalog document, but no image files. Useful to know when wants to transfer C1 V10 Catalogs AND images between laptops and desktop computer or other hard drives.
Thank you for your consideration.
Cheers,
Stephen.

I heard mention of C1P11 in the Intro. My hope is that they take the best of iMedia Pro's DAM capabilities and incorporate this into C1P11 so that I don't have to keep my libraries limited to <30k images to be functional.

Chris and Kevin,
Nice job so far. Congratulations! I'm looking forward to the rest of the tutorial.
As a former LR user and for the past 18 months a C1P user, I welcome the tutorial series.
Thanks.

Also in Kevin's featured article he mentions:
" Capture One 10 was released just a few months ago and already has had some improvements made to it. "
As far as I can see all versions 10.0.1 & 10.0.2 had were bug fixes and support for new cameras / lenses so perhaps he knows something that we are not yet aware of ?

I think that is what Kevin was referring too. Also added camera support and new lens support.

Great tutorial!
Kevin: can you please share what kind of panels are behind you and Drew rotating images?

Three new videos are added to the C1-10 Tutorial (https://luminous-landscape.com/videos/guide-capture-one-10/)

We have an upcoming video and article on the frames you see in the video. Stay tuned.

Go Drew! :D
Yes indeed. Nice work Drew! A natural. But I think the real reason David wasn't utilized is, after so many Michael/Jeff videos there is a requisite beard requirement for Chris to get the focus correct. Grover just doesn't measure up.

I really liked the Edit with... video. If I knew about that, I had forgotten about it. One irritating problem I have is that C1P is picking up .app files for the pull-down from ALL connected hard drives. (I've had other surprises like rogue app services showing up since switching to Mac. In Windows, this doesn't happen unless the app is officially installed.)
C1P is picking up dupe apps from my Carbon Copy Cloner backup volume. That I can unmount except when using CCC. But it is also picking up .app's from stored installers on my main data HD where I have a "downloads" folder. This drive also has my images, so it can't be unmounted.
Do you know of a way to limit C1P to populating that list from only the internal SSD boot drive, a.k.a the Applications folder?

I had the same problem with Carbon Copy Cloner and cloned backups. The simplest solution is to uncheck those apps in the CCC script so that they are not duplicated.

Well done C1P 10 tutorial!
I'm looking forward to viewing the rest of it.

Thanks for the tutorials. I've yet to upgrade to v10. Time to do it I think ...

Rebuilding the Launch Services Database solved the issue. This can be done through Terminal or CleanMyMac. Memory being the second thing to go :P, it seems I had encountered this before and received the solution from the Phase One user forum (sigh).

I have been hoping for that since C1 v7. It's surprising to me that Phase One hasn't used the technology they own in iMedia Pro as part of Capture One Pro. To me, a robust and full-featured DAM is a huge missing piece in C1.
