I have removed card/RAW photos from Canon DSLR, renamed photos and without changing them moved back to card and inserted camera. Canon DSLR can't recognize photos...It can't play them. Why? Anybody can explain this? Thanks!

Two possibilities:
1. the folder structure is different;
2. renaming the images.

I have tried to rename them back. Doesn't work....

Right, I did the experiment myself.
Renaming an image means that the camera will no longer recognise it - reason unknown.
If that image is renamed exactly as it was before then the camera will recognise it.
I did this without copying images off the CF card - I renamed them in situ.
Therefore I go back to my original post and deduce that at least part of the problem is the folder structure.
I know that this was not a factor in my experiment because I did the renaming in situ.

I guess you have learnt don't do that. File systems in cameras are fragile so never ever do anything other than reformat.
Also never delete images in the camera except the last one.
Speculating but possible reasons could be:
If you are using a Mac then the Mac will create Resource Forks which are little files staring with a period (dot files). These are unrecognisable by the camera.
If you change the file then the metadata won't correspond to the file and the bit length will be different. It may check the bit number. Don't know.
