Title: Just out of curiosity . . .
Post by: ymc226 on January 28, 2017, 06:54:21 pm
I have a Color Checker Passport which I build separate profiles for my cameras.  I also have VSCO, RNI and DxO emulation software.  If I first correct my colors with the Passport profile, will the emulation software then base their changes from my "base" or do they just change the settings to a pre-specified target?

RNI use their own custom profile for your camera. VSCO if I remember also does this. DXo I don't know though.
But it doesn't mean you can assign a vsco preset then change your camera profile to your custom. Often it makes the result pretty awful though...

VSCO uses their own custom profiles inside LR.
DxO Film Pack is an external editor, so the profile is applied previously.
