Title: Sealing Partially-Used Epson 4000 Cartridges
Post by: plattners on July 14, 2006, 04:12:05 pm
I have an Epson 4000. I recently had to do a power cleaning. The manual recommended replacing any cartridge less than 50% full with a new, full cartridge, and I followed this advice.

I would like to finish off whatever is left in the four cartridges that were less than 50% full. Until I am ready to use them, would it make sense to seal them up (tape over the hole where the ink leaves the cartridge,) or is it ok to let them sit until I'm ready to use them.

Thanks.

I'd wipe off the hole and tape over it to prevent it from drying out. Just don't tape  the chip contacts.
