Hi all,
I may have the possibility to spend a weekend at beggining of Febraury around Lyon, in France. Since I have no too much time, is there a near location around the France Alps where I can go to do some winter landscape photography?
Thanks,
David

It's been nearly 40 years but I remember working on assignment in Lyon and I drove to Grenoble and onto Les Deux Alpes a ski resort. I think it took about 2 hours but from memory that was about the closest to the high mountains.
Good luck.

Once on the train on the way BACK from the Alps we passed through an area with woodland (around Albertville?) all coated in a magical white snow and ice. If I could have jumped off the train I'd have some wonderful images, but there are limits to my dedication. Anyway - the point is that you don't have to go as far as the high Alps for fantastic landscapes :-)
