Title: Auto Profile?
Post by: jamie_m_ on June 29, 2006, 04:10:37 pm
When my ipf5000 starts printing I can see what looks like redg, green and blue lights light up in the print head.

Does the ipf5000 have some sort of built in colour profiling? Maybe something to measure the white point of the paper?

Nothing to do with profiling. It's just measuring the size of the paper.

It doesn't seem to do a very good job of it. Maybe I've still not worked my way around setting the paper sizes etc, but so far whenever I try to do a borderless print the printer tells me I have A4 paper on the roll and it cant do a borderless print, even though I'm sure I've told it there is 17" on the roll and the bordelss spacer is on the spindle.
