Not only is his Iceland aerial work beautiful, but I love the humour in his Commissioned work (use of color, props, etc.).

I'm puzzled by his bio that suggests he defies all odds within the photography business model of being able to get the amount of high end clients and awards he's listed at such a young age after just studying psychology at Syracuse University and traveling and photographing India's culture.
Much of the style of his work I've seen before ad nauseum and to get that many Communication Arts awards and other accolades of the photography appreciation industry isn't a cheap endeavor.
When newbie's asks if it's difficult to make a living in photography I'm not sure I want to show them his gallery. Something doesn't pan out right as to the amount of high end contacts he's connected with in such a short time.

I don't like his commissioned work at all. Neither the execution nor the art direction behind it
As for the stuff up in the sky: Yann Arthus-Bertrand was doing it better decades ago.

I just wanted to see in his work and on his website a series of experiences that led from being a psychology major to what told him he needed all that gear shown in one of his backstory blog studio shoots to arrive at his final pieces. Or maybe he acts more like a director and hires a crew and shows a rough concept and they pick all the gear needed. He steps behind the camera and trips the shutter. It's possible.
I mean the dude just appears out of thin air with all these awards and high end paying clients and there's no background to support a progression toward that level of success.
Geez! If there was ever a poster child to demonstrate the term "It's who you know", this guy would be it.
