This weekend I was using my Samsung S4 mini camera to check a IR TV remote. I'm not 100% sure it was the reason but the following day this is what I got: permanently burnt traces:

300% crops: even the LED blinking seems visible:

Is that possible? never heard of permanent damage caused by a remote.
