Title: R800 problems (ink levels)
Post by: Tidalforce on May 20, 2006, 12:37:22 pm
My printer seems to not be able to determine the amount of ink in each cartridge. My printer was in storage while I moved overseas for about 3 months without ink cartridges installed. When I arrived, I installed brand new inks and have printed only a hand full of images. My computer/printer now states that these inks are extremely low (especially for the little amount of printing I have done) and it says that the cyan is completely empty (I took out the cyan cartridge and could tell it was almost completely full by shaking it and hearing the ink slosh around) I just purchased a new set of inks but am reluctant to install them for fear that the printer will still not be able to read the amount of ink in them. These are epson inks, not knock off stuff.

I ran all of the nozzle cleaning/cjeck stuff and my printer still can't tell how much ink is in each cartridge. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

Is it possible you bought counterfeit inks? Did you get the carts from Ebay or similar?
