i'm looking for a weekend getaway during this long weekend, that isn't too far from Calgary, and have decided to do something other then the Canadian rockies.
I thought about Waterton/Glacier but would rather go there later this summer, or at least once Logan pass opens up.
Could anyone suggest some other locations in IDaho or Montana. I know on my drives down to Yellowstone/Tetons or MOAB there were areas that looked kind of nice in the fall that I wish I had time to stop for some pictures.
Are there any other areas with nice Landcapes around the Idaho/Montana that anyone can recommend given the time of the year?
I've been either studying for professional exams, moving or traveling for work for the past month and would to get away from the city, unwind and take some landscape pics.
Ideally I'm looking for a place that is under a 5-6 hour drive from Calgary.
