Close to Llanes in the Asturias, on the atlantic coast of Spain, Playa Ballota is a cove characterised by the presence of a massive islet laying just in front of it. When the tide recedes, the sea uncovers a number of very large, rough looking boulders, offering limitless possibilities for interesting compositions. It occurred naturally to me to shoot this inspiring landscape in Black & White, in order to accent the graphic strength and the masses of the rocks against the racing clouds and the smooth sea.

Very nice shot, I like your BW take as I have several from the same place but all in colors.

Truly excellent.

Lovely. The contrast of streaky clouds and static rocks works really well.
As a matter of curiosity, what was the exposure?

Thank you very much everyone for viewing and the nice comments, very much appreciated :D
The exposure was 4 minutes, and I got there by starting from f/22 (on a medium format camera) and adding a 6 stop Little Stopper Lee filter to it.
