Title: Chasm Creek
Post by: maddogmurph on March 07, 2016, 08:51:58 pm
Comments/feedback appreciated! Thanks - trying to decide if some of this processing could use improvement - as it always could I suppose. I also have another file looking straight down that I'm considering blending into this for a pano.

I would say processing is absolutely spot on. Beautiful muted, dark background and just the right amount of sheen on the water. Color on the water is nicely reflecting the dusk sky.

Thank you sir, I feel pretty good about it, but I like to spot check ... after staring at an image for over an hour sometimes blatant things are no longer obvious.

I agree with Slobodan although perhaps just a teeny bit brighter here and there but a that's real nit picking.

I like the composition and lovely texture on the water. I also feel it is bit too dark, but that is personal.

A beautiful spot and well composed, though it looks a little over processed and dark IMHO.

I like that Image and agree with Slobodan.
It reminds me of photos I saw some years ago taken only in moonlight (not of the moon but illuminated by the moon).

I like the darkness here. OTOH the composition feels a little unbalanced to me, but that's just the way the scene is.

Perhaps a crop off the top of an inch? As it it is a very fine image and the praise is merited

Processing is as good as possible. I like the molten look of the rocks.

Very nice. Darker than I might do it but it seems to work very well. Nice job.

I went with this as a final. Added a little bit of a warmer color to the break in the trees. Seemed to open it up a little. I'll post here if I decide to process the stitch, although it would be such a pain in the ... I might just skip it.

I don't think you need the pano. This is a very beautiful image on its own and the processing is very well suited. I love the sheen on the water so much :)
