Title: Changing default profiles for Epson 2100 (OS X)
Post by: jkbayley on April 23, 2006, 09:58:37 am
I have just the profile I want now for my Epson 2100. I am using Lyson photoschrome inks via a continuous ink system. From Photoshop things are great, and when an image is wrong, it is the inadequacy of my photography that is showing now!

However, for quick and dirty printing I wanted to change the default profile chosen by the printer driver. Occasionally I'll print out a load of prints from iPhoto, and the colour is predictably all wrong. How do I force all other applications to use my Lyson profile now? Do I edit the profiles in the print driver? If so how?
Thanks.

You can try doing this in the ColorSync utility (Devices Pane). I say try because it's supposed to work but both ColorSync and the Epson driver don't play by the same rules.

Actually that did it. I changed the default profile in the colorsync utility for the printer and paper type selected. When printing I just select colorsync color management in the printer driver interface. It works like a dream. I am very happy.
