Title: First timer
Post by: sweetphotogal on February 17, 2006, 02:24:24 pm
just wanted to get some feedback on this image "side by side"...it was accepted into an international competetion but never really got any constructive feedback. I generally like to do landscapes and nature but this was one of the first times i tried something different.

thanks

It certainly made me feel disoriented and dizzy. I like the brighter light behind the two figures, and the balance between light and dark areas. I also think that the angle of light/dark along the hips of the people, combined with the ceiling cornace, adds to the direction of the movement in the image.

Was this an accident, Bettina?    Did you have the camera on aperture priority and took a shot not realising the shutter speed would be a full sec or so?

I think i might call it a happy accident, i knew the exposure was going to be quite long but i wasnt sure if i was really going to get anything worthwhile so i was pretty happy with it..
