howdy
when I print preview,
and change printer profiles
it slows me down as there seem to be five hundred of them in there.
...monitor profiles, unused RIPs, all sorts of junk I'll never use.
where do I go to trim this number down?
thanks very much and happy printing

Library>ColorSync>Profiles
Highlight what you don't need and drag them to trash
-
You need to search in two locations:
/Library/ColorSync/Profiles
and
~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles
(~ means your home directory)
If you don't know how to access these folders, you can copy one of the lines above and in the Finder choose Go>Go To Folder... (or CMD+Shift+G) and paste what you just copied. It will open one of the profiles folder. Repeat for the second location.
You can also use Spotlight to search for profiles (files ending with icc or icm) and then delete the ones you don't use.
