I always thought that Phones are for talking ... but nowadays a phone is used 99% for everything else, except for talking to a remote place ...

That's why I prefer a phone that is dumber than me. I talk on mine (occasionally). I also wear a separate wristwatch to tell time. ;)

They can also be used for listening. I often talk to my DSLR when it doesn't take a perfect image. It gets the F*****G blame. :)

Unfortunately, it's not just limited to DSLR's. I put it down to poor quality control by the manufacturers ;D

That's perfectly normal.
